Margaret Patton

Margaret Patton (Margaret “Mike” Elizabeth Patton), age 77, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, February 16th, 2013. Born in Lambertown, PA on April 27th, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Bessie Edmonds Brison.
In her early years, she worked for Swayne Mushroom Farms and later worked as a housekeeper for various families in the Kennett area. She was a member of Greater Works Ministries for nearly 50 years.
Mike enjoyed many activities especially going to church, playing Bingo, crafting, fundraising, and being with her family and friends. She was an absolute joy to be with.

Mike is survived by 6 children – Mitchell A. Brison Sr. (Catherine) of Kennett Square, PA, Phillip M. Brison Sr. (Judy) of Reading, PA, John H. Patton, Jr. of Kennett Square, PA, Linda L. Jones (Rusty) of Kennett Square, PA, Detra A. Brison-Norman (James) of Avondale, PA, June A. Patton of Wilmington, DE; Siblings Edward W. Brison of GA, Charles W. Brison of Concordville, PA, Sarah Brison of Kennett Square, PA, Genevea Smith of Norfolk, VA, Alberta Brown of Kennett Square, PA, Lillian Davis of Avondale, PA, and Marcia Carter of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

“Mike” was predeceased by husband, John H. Patton, Sr., and siblings Alvin H. Brison, Ernest Brison, James I. Brison, Elmer O. Brison and Paul R. Brison, Sadie Mae Christie, Catherine Downs, Vivian G. Brison.

A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 25th, 2013 at Greater Works Ministries, 553 Rosedale Rd, Kennett Square, PA. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment at Union Hill Cemetery, will follow funeral services.
